NAVCA seminar on VCS and ICS

Here is the info that Emma said she would share – thanks Emma 🙂

Thank you for attending our Embedding VCSE Webinar on 22nd May, we hope you found it useful!

Please find attached the slides from both presentations, you can also find the full recording of the session here. Apologies for the delay in getting these sent out.

I’m also delighted to share with you the invitation to our next webinar:

As set out in the Integrated Care System Design Framework, “the VCSE sector is a vital cornerstone of a progressive health and care system. ICSs should ensure their governance and decision-making arrangements support close working with the sector as a strategic partner in shaping, improving and delivering services and developing and delivering plans to tackle the wider determinants of health. VCSE partnership should be embedded as an essential part of how the system operates at all levels. This will include involving the sector in governance structures and system workforce, population health management and service redesign work, leadership and organisational development plans. We expect that Integrated Care Partnerships and the ICS NHS body will develop a formal agreement for engaging and embedding the VCSE sector in system level governance and decision-making arrangements, ideally by working through a VCSE alliance to reflect the diversity of the sector.”

In the last two years, much progress has been made and there are now VCSE Alliances working in partnership with nearly all 42 ICSs. Being able to effectively evidence the impact of these VCSE alliances and their role in strategic cross sector partnerships is essential for their development, full integration and the sustainability of the partnership approach to improve health and wellbeing.

At the same time, members of the Embedding the VCSE in ICS Peer Support Network have consistently highlighted the challenges of impact measurement on areas such as; building relationships and trust, new ways of working, culture and systems change.

This webinar, supported by Assura PLC, aims to share learning on the topic of evidencing the impact of strategic partnerships in health and care, including the role of VCSE Alliances, identifying tools and enablers by drawing on good practice case studies.

The purpose is to enable participants to understand:

  • The importance and value of strategic cross sector partnerships within health & social care including the role of VCSE Alliances
  • Good practice in developing and delivering impact measurement methodologies for strategic cross sector partnerships
  • What practical tools and enablers can support effective embedding of impact measurement methodologies for strategic cross sector partnerships and VCSE Alliances

This webinar is likely to be of interest to people from across the NHS, local government and the VCSE sector involved in integration, collaboration and partnership building within ICSs, and further afield.

The webinar will take place on Tuesday 9th July 2024, 1:30pm – 4pm.

You can register for the event here.

Please share this invite with anyone it may be relevant to in your network, we hope to see you there!

Best wishes,

Lydia
