Hi everyone,

I’m pleased to announce a unique opportunity for a motivated individual within our local Citizens Advice network. We’re looking for someone to join us on an 8-week secondment to help develop our organisational effectiveness standards. This is a fantastic chance to make a real impact on the quality of service we provide across Citizens Advice.

This opportunity is exclusively open to current employees, local leaders, and Trustees of a local Citizens Advice office. If you fit this description and are passionate about standards and compliance, particularly with a strong understanding of the Leadership Self Assessment (LSA), we want to hear from you.

What’s involved?

You’ll be working closely with the performance team, dedicating 3 days a week for 8 weeks to:

  • Collaborate on co-design, consultation, and continuous improvement activities with peers across the service.
  • Help rewrite our Member Standards, turning insights into clear, practical guidance and communications.
  • Create and test an induction module to support the rollout of updated Member Standards.

Are you the right fit?

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven familiarity with the Leadership Self Assessment in a local office setting, including evidence gathering and compliance monitoring.
  • A strong ability to analyse organisational policies and practices and understand their impact on performance and quality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Google IT packages (Word, Sheets, Slides, Email) and a willingness to learn new tools.

How to apply:

Please submit an anonymous CV and cover letter detailing how you meet the requirements outlined above.

Important information:

  • The vacancy closes at 23:59 on 10 August.
  • Interviews are expected to be held the week commencing September 8th, 2025.
  • Ideally, we’re looking for someone to start no later than October 1st, 2025. This role offers a blended approach to working, with flexibility between office and home (England and Wales).
  • Salary: We’ll pay your salary for the 3 days you work with us / for Trustees who join us – £100 per day of involvement grant to their LCA

We are committed to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and strongly encourage applications from people of colour, LGBTQ+ individuals, and disabled people, as we believe in building diverse and inclusive teams. We also offer a flexible working environment and will provide reasonable adjustments as needed.
