HR support working group

Message from Callum after the first HR working group discussions…

Hi everyone!

The HR Support Offer Working Group met today for the first time to discuss our thoughts on the next steps of HR Support for the Network. It was a really productive meeting where we explored the current state of support and talked about the future.

Our focus in this group is on two things;

1) Our “static content” offer – this is things like template policies and procedures, guidance etc. and is currently hosted on the Intranet

2) Our “hands on support” offer – this is the bit where you actually speak to someone for advice on your specific circumstance, we currently provided this through WorkNest
Thinking about putting our resources where they have the greatest effect we agreed it’s likely that moving forward we will provide the “static content” at a higher standard than we currently do, so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel.

On the “hands on support”, all the data from the temperature check we did in November indicates that one size doesn’t fit all and therefore a better solution will be using our buying power as a National organisation to leverage preferred suppliers with discounts, so you can procure and pay for your own hands on support. This wouldn’t apply to specific ad-hoc support, like that we’re providing through recommissioning.

This meeting focussed on designing our user requirements for the “static content”. You can see some of the things we captured on this Jamboard. If you have any other ideas or things to add, please do comment below so we can capture them!

Next steps will be to refine these user requirements and then take them to market to find a supplier (or decide to insource the work).

Any questions or if you want to get involved, do just drop me a message.
