My name is Amirah Chaudry and I work for the Royal Statistical Society as the Statisticians for Society Officer. 

Statisticians for Society aims to connect professional statisticians with third sector organisations that need help collecting, analysing and presenting data. It is free and open to charities and other third sector organisations with an annual income of less than £1million. You can read case studies of some organisations that have benefitted from the service.

We are hosting a drop-in session for organisations in need of statistical expertise called ‘Meet the Statistician: data support for the third sector’. The event will be held on Tuesday 29 March from 10am – 1pm and it is a chance for charities and other third sector organisations to get help from our statistical experts in identifying the data support they need and formulate potential solutions to tackle them.

I was wondering if we could advertise the initiative and our upcoming the event to your network and those on your mailing list? It is suitable for anyone who is interested in using our service and wants to know more about using data and evidence for decision making.
