We are working with CA on this project to set out who pays what in the hope that we can agree a framework so we can avoid CA bidding for work on a basis that cannot be delivered locally and also that we can work together to be the best employers we can so that we don’t end up either poaching staff from each other and causing each other to fail on contractual targets nor being in a situation where we feel we have no option but to pay more than neighbouring services in order to meet staff requirements.
If you want to be part of this work , you can share your data – it is quite easy to do so – just check your payroll entry data.
Once you have taken part you will have access to the spreadsheet which will give you information across a range of elements – regionally, by role, by size of LCA etc.
The CA local finance team will keep the data up to date with regular reviews so stand by your inbox for a repeat survey each autumn. They aim to refresh the data in time for us all to set our budgets for the year – so results should be available to us in Nov/Dec..
