Janet John is retiring…

Many of you will know Janet as a very faithful attendee at the weekly calls from the outset and a great colleague CEO based in Suffolk.

The time has come for Janet to hang up her advice boots and we wish her every success and happiness in her next great adventure – whatever it will be. I know many of us have found her week by week support, common sense and tremendous compassion for clients and colleagues a great help since the pandemic began.

In her farewell email Janet says:

I wonder if you would do me a favour at the CO’s meeting today please.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have taken voluntary redundancy and my last working day was last Friday!!  A bit earlier than I expected but there you go!!

I wanted to thank you, Andy, Jake, Jo-Anne and everyone else for everything they have contributed to the group and to the future of the service overall. I feel immense progress has been made, especially over the last couple of years and the group has been a lifeline for many, if not all of us.

I feel I have connected with old friends and made many new ones and I shall miss you all.  It’s a sad time but I am truly looking forward to the future without the stress and worry around funding and escalating costs, to say nothing of the cost of living impact on the communities we serve.

Good Luck -I wish you all the very best

I have her contact details which Janet is happy to share, so ping me an email if you want to know how to get in touch with her..pippa@citizensadvicekingston.org.uk
