Please find attached details of our Government-funded apprenticeship training programmes – which offer a fantastic way to invest in existing staff and/or to bring in fresh talent to your organisation.

As I mentioned, the focus of our apprenticeship portfolio is on marketing, communications, digital, events and other ‘growth’ functions.

I am also attaching a one-page overview of the Fundraiser apprenticeship, which is available to employees working either full or part-time in fundraising (a minimum of 20 hours/week).

The JGA programme has been developed by fundraisers who have decades of experience, working with various charities, large and small. It combines interactive online seminars led by expert tutors, along with research tasks and individual study, as well as real-time workplace activities and regular skills coaching.

I am currently liaising with charities wishing to onboard staff or new recruits onto the current Fundraiser cohort – to start in early November this year*. (Following this, the next cohort will likely be in May 2022).

*In terms of timescales, you may like to note the following:

To receive the current financial incentive from Government for employers hiring a new apprentice of any age (this equates to at least £3,000** for your organisation), the employment start date of the apprentice must be between 1 April 2021 and 30 September 2021. They must then start on an apprenticeship by 30 November 2021.

**Further incentives are offered for hiring a young apprentice – £1,000 for hiring an apprentice aged 16 to 18 years old, or aged 19 to 24 with an education, health and care plan or who has been in the care of their local authority – and exemption from Employers’ Class 1 National Insurance Contributions for apprentices aged under 25.
