A number of you have posted questions on the HR Clinic forum thank you to all.

A couple of HR practitioners will be available on Monday on a panel to respond to questions but we will all have best practice (or how not to do its) to share. Mags and Jo-Anne are both from Manchester and we hope Tracey can join us from Liverpool (if anyone can help me find her correct email address).

I’m proposing to conduct a sort of Question Time, fielding questions, eliciting responses and garnering wider points from participants.

Based on the questions raised in the websheet, I’ll aim to run in this order:

1. Introduce the Panel members
2. Questions from LCA’s:
– How to run an effective Recruitment Campaign (with no budget)? from Janet in Cornwall
– Should there be standard conditions across the service? Caroline and Elaine
– How to manage absences? Lisa

3. Any other burning questions?

4. Proposed forward workplan for more in-depth discussion

13 Sep = Legal Updates including Karen and Lisa’s questions about How useful are HR experts and employment Advisors.

15th Nov= Competency based interviews.
